October brought new features to make your day-to-day operations easier. Discover what’s new in AI analytics, inventory management, administration, and the POS system
1. Short-term rental: Storyous POS for exactly as long as you need it
Christmas markets last only a few weeks, so buying an entire set of equipment just for the season doesn't make sense. With our new offer, you can rent the Storyous All-in-one device for exactly as long as you need it. You only pay for the rental period and return the device to us once the season is over. No need to buy anything or commit to a long-term contract.
All-in-one combines a POS system, payment terminal, and receipt printer in a single device. It's ideal for:
market stallholders and vendors at Christmas markets,
Christmas pop-ups and seasonal businesses,
companies and event organizers that need a POS system for just a few weeks,
hospitality businesses that want to try Storyous without a long-term commitment.

2. Connect Premium Analytics to your AI assistant
All Premium Analytics users can now connect the service to their own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or any other assistant that supports custom MCP) and ask questions about their data in plain language. For example: “How did I perform in September compared to August?” No dashboards, no filters. It works on mobile too.
Open the AI Assistants section in Premium Analytics and copy the URL.
Paste it into Claude or ChatGPT and sign in once using your Storyous account.
The assistant has read-only access to your data and can only see the information already available to you in Premium Analytics.
The feature is included in your Premium Analytics subscription at no extra cost. Usage counts towards your existing daily fair usage limit.
The feature is currently in beta and has already been tested by more than ten pilot businesses, with positive feedback so far. We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
3. SKU codes and permanent deletion of inventory items
Do you use your own internal codes for ingredients? You can now assign them to inventory items. SKU works similarly to an EAN code, but each inventory item has its own unique SKU. It can contain up to 25 characters, including letters and numbers.
You can use SKUs to find inventory items across all stock movements (except stocktaking) and in recipes. You can also enter SKUs when importing inventory items, although this is optional. If you work with dozens of supplier codes, this feature will save you a lot of manual data entry.
Permanent deletion of inventory items
No more renaming items or hiding them in the archive. You can now permanently delete items from your central inventory, either individually or in bulk.
An item will be deleted everywhere and removed from all recipes.
This action cannot be undone, so we'll show you a warning before deletion to help prevent accidental data loss.
Archiving works as before. The item is simply hidden, its links to recipes remain intact, and its name stays unchanged.
4. Administration: easier product management
We've made a few small improvements to the Products section to make everyday use even easier:
a search bar at the top of the page,
a sticky table header, so you can see column names even when scrolling,
a button to expand all categories at once,
a button to reset filters.
5. POS: card payment confirmation printed directly on the receipt
You no longer need to print payment confirmations separately from your terminal. You can now print card payment confirmations from your Teya terminal directly at the bottom of your Storyous receipt. This saves both paper and money on terminal paper rolls.
You can enable the feature with a single click in the Administration section and configure it to suit your business needs.
Coming soon...
PLU codes: alphanumeric product codes that will allow you to scan products and add them to open bills. They'll be available in just a few days, as soon as the POS update is complete.
A new look for semi-finished products, making them easier to use.
