At the end of October, the Spojka Karlín venue in Prague hosted a gathering of the Czech gastronomy scene – restaurant, café, and bar owners who came to share experiences, gain inspiration, and discover where the industry is heading. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was warm, energetic, and full of ideas – exactly the kind we love in the hospitality industry.

We at Storyous were proud to be part of it, not just as a partner, but as an active member of the community of people who move gastronomy forward every day.

Inspiration, Data, and the New Generation of Customers

The program offered a range of perspectives from brand building and concept development to emerging technologies. Zdeněk Pohlreich reminded everyone that gastronomy is, above all, about people and honest craftsmanship, while Pavel Kostka from Mama’s Burger shared insights on managing a franchise and maintaining quality across multiple venues.

Artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making were key talking points. Discussions revolved around how tracking sales, operations, and guest behaviour can help business owners make smarter decisions and strengthen relationships with their customers.

There were also predictions for 2026, highlighting the growing importance of local sourcing, sustainability, and a new generation of guests who value quality food, authentic experiences, and often choose a lifestyle without alcohol.
